About me
Hello!Slow Travel Lab began with my own rather unexpected change of course. I left Los Angeles to help renovate a 15th-century farmhouse in Tuscany, imagining it as an interesting chapter in my interior design career. Italy, as it turned out, had other plans.
I fell in love with a different way of living — one shaped by food, place, tradition, and the people who keep those traditions alive. I didn't just want to visit Italy anymore. I wanted to understand it.
That curiosity eventually took me from interior design into food and travel. I earned a Certificate in Italian Gastronomy from Lorenzo de’ Medici in Florence, followed by a Master’s in World Food Studies from the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Piemonte, where the curriculum is rooted in the principles of the Slow Food movement.
Slow Travel Lab grew from that experience: a way to help others travel with more curiosity, more connection, and a little less urgency — experiencing not just where they are, but what makes a place worth knowing.
